TURLEY, Steve & Deanne
Rachel, Bethanie and Luke

Sometimes here in Europe we get so accustomed to not getting a response to our evangelism efforts that we are totally surprised when we do. Just last week our Students for Christ group went to the campus to pass out tracts we purchased with Light for the Lost funds. The tracts were a single sheet containing a strong visual message perfect for university students. On the back was a response block to request a gospel of Luke and a book by Luis Palau. Our team of seven passed out about 800 tracts in the space of 30 minutes. Everyone gladly took them and several paused for conversation. One of our team members was even able to exchange e-mail addresses with one girl. After giving out all the tracts we prayed for those who received them and left. The following Wednesday when I opened my mailbox there was a small envelope inside. It was a response to our distribution requesting the books. As it happens this young man lives less than a block from our house and ministry center. One response may not seem like much to get excited about, but here in a very post-modern, post-Christian Europe, we know about the Power of One.
